Chrud
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] poor win is all i can say [/ QUOTE ] Really !! How so ?? I think it was a justified win,, a slower car wouldn't move over so he was tapped and moved... [/ QUOTE ] You DON'T do crap like that at 170 MPH. Doing that on a short track is one thing, doing it on a super speedway is completely different. If Gordon was as good as he said he car was, he would have passed Kenseth cleanly. [/ QUOTE ] Because he choose not too, that's why,,, I think we all know it was a prime oppertunity for payback... I don't dispute that fact, but lets not all sit here and say that their drivers don't do the same things,,,, we know that a bunch of bull too... It's just a big deal because Gordon did it, and won the race doing it...
Chrud
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon I think it is such a big deal because of the speed. I'd rather see someone else do it, but had Gordon done that at Bristol, Martinsville or Richmond I wouldn't see a problem with that because that is typical short track racing. You DO NOT pay someone back on a superspeedway. To me, what Gordon did was no different than what Stewart did to Kenseth at the Daytona 500. "Payback" on a superspeedway. There is no need for crap like that in racing. I hope Kenseth starts round 3 at Atlanta. See how Gordon likes getting bumped out of the way at 170 MPH. If Matt hadn't started playing the blocking game, I would have a issue with what Gordon did.... but Matt blocked hime three seperate times,, strike 3 and you're out.... I agree Churd, 170 mph. is no speed to be playing these games at..... but it seems that this is the type of racing NASCAR wants...

Nick
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon [ QUOTE ] Blah Blah Blah,,, when you boil it all down and analyze it what you all are saying is it's ok for your driver to knock people around the track but when a Hendrick car doe's it,, it a totally different story.. [/ QUOTE ] Who in here has said anything about their favorite driver? Your the only one bringing other drivers into the thread. I never said it was ok for my driver to spin somebody out. But I'll tell you one thing, if my driver did something stupid like what Gordon did....I sure wouldnt come on here and congratulate him for it then try to back his butt up. Paybacks? How old are we again.......especially to be doing it going 150mph in the middle of a turn in a car. Thats pretty dangerous if you ask me....think about it, how serious did you actually think Earnhardt got hurt when you seen him get spun out and hit that turn 4 wall at Daytona? I honestly expected him to climb from the car unhurt.......but he never did did he?
BowJoe
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon Take your Gordon blinders off for a sec and think about how mad you were at Kenseth for doing that to Gordon in Bristol. I bet you came unglued. I think it's funny that Gordon is panicking like the little sissy he is. Mr. I have to marry a model to become totally Hollywood Gordon. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon STUPID Jeff Gordon and his model future wife and his 4 championships, his 70+ wins, and millions of dollars......man at times I wish I could be that STUPID!!! Guy is set for life and drives race cars for a living, how can he be so STUPID and tap a guy out of the lead.........O I remember Matt did it to him at Bristol!! Lighten up guys, hate him or like him the guy is a proven winner. Whether you like his driving style or hate it, he has done more on the track and off the track than most ever will! VermontHunter
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon Uhmm, Nick I seem to remember that you didn't have a problem when Jr. wrecked Mikey,, and that my friend was on a superspeedway as well.... come to think of it most of you thought it was OK. OH that's right !! It was OK because it was Jr. driving not Gordon.... LOL... you guys are a riot... Get over it Gordon won and there's nothing to change that fact,, plain and simple... 2 more wins and he will even have a better win and driving percentage than the late Dale Sr... but yet some you call him a sissy, gay, and make other rude remarks... WHY ?? I'll tell you why,,, because he can out drive just about any driver out there today, that's why.. Before this thread gets out of hand,,, Im going to leave well enough alone, and comment no more...
Gator
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon I finally saw the "incident" last night on SPEED, and I must say, that from what I have read here, and SAW last night, there was NO need for Gordon to bump Kenseth like that with 4 laps to go. Last lap, yeah, BUT if Gordon WAS as fast as I hear, why didn't he just pass out right? Answer THAT for me. **EDIT** When the "bump" happened, the 42 of Mears was way high on the track, that car was not even a factor at the time. And noone can say otherwise that if the roles were reversed, that Gordo would NOT have used the 42 to help with blocking the 17, or any other car. Fact here is Gordon WAS faster, yet he just couldn't pass Kenseth clean.

I mean if jhes that good why doesn't that speak for itself ... mostly because it cant ... he bumped the guy for no reason and won the race ... what a shame he couldn't do it like the big boys do! Guest RJK
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon If it wasn't for Ray Evernham, Jeff Gordon would be just an average driver. Don't believe me look at his performance during Evernham and after Evernham. That guy cries more than a baby with an empty belly at 2:00 in the morning. It is going to be so nice to see him miss the chase once again this year.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon If Evernham is the magic man how come his drivers have not won 13 times in one season, captured a Brickyard 400, a Coca-Cola 600, or a Daytona 500? Face it guys, Gordon can drive a race car, whiner or not, I am not a 24 fan, but I do see who can wheel a car and who can't. Jeff has won championships with 2 different crew chiefs and I beleive has won races under 3 or so crew chiefs. The guy can drive a car!! AdvantageTimberLou
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon this thread has gotten down right ridiculous, didn't think bashing a person was allowed either but apparently it is!! Gay lifestyle? What part of "he can drive a stock car and win" don't people get? The guy has won more races than any current driver on the circuit, won all the big races there is to win and yet he still gets bash!!!! WOW!! spyderpancake
Re: CONGRATS to J. Gordon dude, drop the gay remarks. Gordon is one of my least favorite drivers, but there is no need to slam him like that. He is one of the best racers to ever get into nascar, regardless of his crew chief, and although he made a stupid move Sunday, it is ridiculous to claim that he is gay.this thread has gone from arguing the ethics of him spinning Kenseth out to comparing him to Dale Sr(which always happens) to questioning his manhood(which also always happens) give it a break!
