It was the landonwner's to do with what he wished. And I agree with the fisherman, if he wants it back, he can incriminate himself to get it or write it off as lost. He will probably do the latter. Trespassers are scumbags, just like those thieves that steal stands and game cameras and feeders. [/ QUOTE ] I have gained 2 stands this way and never contacted buy anyone about either stand. Take it and use it BUT beware. If you use it on that property it may disappear one day if they find it again. Or worse, find it when your in it and this could cause some issues during the season when both of you will have weapons. FOUND: One scumbag trespassers stand, appears to be in nice shape and cost a pretty penny. Call and identify, will also have a meet and greet with the Sheriff when you come and pick it up! Revenge to a trespasser is usually common. He'll be mad his stand is gone and low and behold there hangs your target (stand). Idiots can be vengeful. If a fellow wants to hunt the Strut10 Ranch, he needs to ask permission before the stand goes up. Trespassers are scumbags and thieves...they steal by using the land that they may have otherwise had to lease and removing game animals, (although free roaming and belonging to no one), that are currently on the property that the owner or lessee of may have taken. Put it in a zip lock bag and pin it to the tree you took the stand from. Although he is a trespasser this way you will not have to worry about him breaking your stuff such as trail cameras and treestands. You never know he might be an ok guy who just got carried away with his hunting. A friendly talk could be worth something. Thats just my opnion., If he never calls you keep it.
