PAhardwoods
i'm pumped I just inherated an old redfield 3x9 lowprofile scope to top off the savage 99 i have in .308 caliber and an OLD worn leather sling that i've been lookin to get for awhile I think this is really gonna fit well on the classic 99 I think it will really complete the package very nicely

David_218
Re: new to me scope I got a Redfield 3 to 9 power lowprofile scope too. Got it on my Ruger Model 77 MKII in .270! It's their wideview scope.
doubleA
Re: new to me scope Not that an old Redfield is bad, but I think an old steel tubed K4 Weaver or Lyman 4X Alaskan would make it a real classic combination. Strut10
Re: new to me scope I've also got a 3x9 Widefield Low-Profile. Got it new back in the 70's and put it on a 99-C .308. The 99 is gone, but still have the scope. It's kinda a hard old turd to love. It does not have positive clicks on the adjustments and, as far as I can tell, the marks on the knobs are close to 1 MOA each. Very hard to zero in. Hope yours treats you well.
