My apologies to the dial up guys, but check this out:

I'm thinking of booking these guys when I'm out there in December.

I had to click on the play button a couple times to get it to work.

That boy can drive a boat!

Here's the video page if you want to watch the rest.

Was he driving or was the fish pulling him around? grin.gif

Driving.........backwards. crazy.gif

I've piloted boats that size before when I was in the Coast Guard, and let me tell you, with a twin screw going backwards like that, that's tough. crazy.gif

That guy wants around $375 for a 1/2 day charter. I've got to do it, even as expensive as it is, something just tells me it will be the only chance I get to ever do this in my life. I've got visions of old American Sportsman running through my head. cool.gif

$375 isn't bad...............you better jump on that. wink.gif

You billfishing or bottom fishing or what?? cool.gif

That website for the "Bite Me" (his name, not mine) is strictly a trolling dude I think. They keep any fish over 50lbs. Anything under 50 is up us to toss back or keep. I guess most of those guys offset some of their costs by keeping what is caught, which is fine with me, because I don't know what I'd do with 200lbs of marlin anyway crazy.gif

I did find a few bottom charters, and a lot of charters are strictly catch and release. I wouldn't mind keeping 1 dorado to grill up at a park or something, I think that would be good, but other than that, I have no interest in the fish after I take a picture. cool.gif

December is not a very good month for marlin. I guess they catch 3 types out there, Blue (most common), striped and black. I guess black is rare, and striped kind of rare. Looks like Ahi (tuna) will be our best bet.

Either way, just to say I did it will be nice. cool.gif
