Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: problem with binos Does everyone who looks thru them see double, or is it just something to do with your eyes? If you look thru a different pair, do you see a single or double image?
Guest adowns99
Re: problem with binos dunno, just got these in the mail from bigmoss. they look like great optics. if i close 1 eye, i can see great. crystal clear. open the other one, and see double. Jeramie
Re: problem with binos Does it have the adjustment in front of the eye? Typically its only in front of the right eye (or at least it has been on all of mine). You can turn it to adjust the power. Look at an object and then turn the lense until it clears up. Id bet that is your problem. Just look for the adjustment right where your eyes go on the Binos....

bigmoss
Re: problem with binos Sounds like an eye dominance issue, many people have the same thing with scopes or binos. All I can tell you is those binos are A1 and I have 3 pairs just like them which is the only reason I sold them.

Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: problem with binos If you see double it's because one of the prisms is out of adjustment or the hinge between the occulars is bent.

VermontHunter
Re: problem with binos Chris they are Porro Here's the link to Bushnells Spec page on this particular item... http://www.bushnell.com/products/binoculars/specs/13-2408.cfm Sounds, as if they took an awful bumpy postal ride... which happens alot with carriers these days.... Was it shipped with insurance ???

[/ QUOTE ] These things can take pretty much abuse. How was it packed for shipment? For that to happen they would have to have been shipped in a plain manilla envelope! bigmoss
Re: problem with binos They were in their case, then the case wrapped in bubble wrap and then surrounded with newspaper in the box, cant see how that happened. Anyway they are only about 6 months old, just call bushnell dont tell them you are second owner just say you got them as a gift a few months ago and the issue that is going on, they will probably ask them to be mailed in and will fix them if anything is wrong with them. I have used Bushnell for years and they have ALWAYS fixed any issue I have had.
Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: problem with binos Even if it's not packed well just think on how many G's the scope takes when it's mounted to a 338 and the gun is fired. It can take a postal drop or if it can't, it's junk.

I might suggest that you ask BigMoss to swap 1 of the other 3 A1 pairs he has and when you receive them send the bad pair back to him. He can then send them back to Bushnell for repair since he knows them so well and is the ORIGINAL OWNER of the binoculars.

If you have never heard of eye dominancy I suggest you ask around as most archers and rifle shooters can explain it you if they want to take the time. I could not be bothered. I have traded and sold Tons here and on many other sites and have a triple A feedback rating. Adam can happily PM me any time he wants to discuss anything he likes without you holding his hand.
