I have this 935 Mossberg, which I have yet to shoot :crazy, actually, I could use some advice on .20 ga. also LOL. Been quite a few years that I have bought shells, I have been a reloader for around 30 years Thanks too_

archerjg
Re: Shells Normally I shoot Federal shells as that is what my guns like. I do shoot some Remington Express long range shells and some Winchester for ducks and geese. The shot size depends on what I am hunting. Mostly in 2 3/4" and 3". DU_man_84
Re: Shells i use remington lead for doves and small game, and for steel i go with winchester dryloks for ducks and geese
AJ
Re: Shells For most things, I shoot a target load. Anywhere from 1 oz of #7.5 shot going about 1175-1200 fps gives great patterns, light recoil, and enough umph to drop doves, quail, preserve pheasants, chuckar, grouse, woodcock, and other similar sized birds. If I am going after more skittish pheasants, I can step up to #6 shot and a little tighter choke for longer ranges.
too_pointer
Re: Shells [ QUOTE ] Depends on what we're hunting Mike. So, what are we hunting? [/ QUOTE ] I suppose that would help huh Chris LOL. I will probably use my 20 ga.I have a couple of boxes of speedy Winchesters 20 ga. I should shoot and pattern them..I shoot the most on small game like grouse and woodcock. I don't even know why I bought the Moss. 935 Guess I never had a gun in full camo LOL. too_
dogdoc
Re: Shells I shoot the Kent FastSteel in my MB935--3" #3 shot for ducks. With my browing 20 I use the Remington lead for dove and quail.
huntinguide
Re: Shells For geese i use a 3 1/2 inch Hevi Shot in #2, duck- i use 3 inch #3 drylok mostly but if i have the Hevishot ill use that. For all around i like #3 3 inch
too_pointer
Re: Shells Does anyone have a chart or something that compares steel to lead as far as sizes go ? too_
Shaun_300
Re: Shells I usually shoot the Remington or Winchester #6's out of both my 12ga's and my 20ga's for grouse, crows and any other pests I want to get rid of. I'll use the same but in steel shot #4's for ducks.
too_pointer
Re: Shells So, how does the steel #4's compare to the lead 6's as far as size wise ? Are the #4's close or alot bigger ? too_
