Swamphunter
Re: How Impressive!! [ QUOTE ] Yep, get somewhat amused occasionally with the punk kids trying to impress somebody. Especially when they rev up their whatever they are driving at a redlight while I am in the truck with my wife and 3 little girls [/ QUOTE ] Yep... and eventually they end up killing themselves or someone else. We used to see it when we rode the Harley to Laconia NH. Some dead kid on the side of the road with a plastic superbike laying against the guardrail. It is quite sad and a lot of the reason we don't go anymore.
Nick
Re: How Impressive!! [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] My dad was telling me back before I was born, him and a buddy were out cruising in his buddys brand new Chevelle SS. They pulled up to a red light and an older guy pulled up in a beater s10 with a topper on it. The guy said "hey, wanna race?" My dads buddy says "yeah, how about $50 to the winner?" The guy agreed! My dad figured that was an easy $50. The light turned red and my dad says all they seen were tail lights. Havnt you ever heard "its not whats on the outside that counts, its whats on the inside". I think that is a true testament to that. But honestly....whats the point in doing that crap? I mean, if I or anybody else wanted to burn somebodys doors off, I would put the money into a car to do it.....but I think its stupid and pointless since we have speed limits and its not proving anything. I want to have a big vehicle with 4 wheel drive so I can go off roading an not get stuck and also have the power to tow things. And these morons think their showing me something by pulling away from me in their fancy cars. If you wanna race, find somebody with a car that can race. Otherwise, GET A LIFE!!! [/ QUOTE ] Laws yeah we have those her too and unfortunately the 4X4's are the one breaking them most of the time. Tearing up the roads going down to the lake everytime it gets muddy and making it impossible to get to some of the areas I want to hunt unless on foot. Just because they do it on the street doesn't make it worse then going out tearing up the dirt roads and trails. You gonna tell me you don't whiskey throttle it when you hit the mud holes? [/ QUOTE ] Come on Hutchies.....Take a look at my signature and tell me that trucks been in the mud......Heck it hardly sees any dirt roads, let alone mud. I use it during hunting season to get through the fields and towing, but most of the time I like to keep it spotless. Its set up the way it is not because i need it, but more less to suit my taste in a good looking vehicle. Believe me, that truck gets babied.
