Indiana Members or anyone else

The Indiana NRC & IDNR are set to vote on a proposal on July 18th to legalize the use of rifles in Indiana that would fire pistol rounds already legal for hunting in the state. Exact rule says case length minimum of 1.2" and maximum of 1.6", and must fire a bullet of at least .357".

Granted in Indiana you can hunt with a pistol of any calibur as long as it fires a bullet of at least .243".

Many people are against the legalization of rifles firing pistol caliburs in Indiana. Just wanted to get the opinions of other Indiana folks on the forum and anyone else for that matter.

I am 100% for this, as I look forward to more options to hunt with. Also I don't see much difference in my super redhawk with a 91/2" barrell and scope and a Marlin 1894 levergun with a 20" barrell.

Just interested in your thoughts.

I had not heard about this.. interesting. I would be all for it. I have never hunted with a rifle(and if bow season goes good i won't have to).

When will we know the resuts?
