Asthma?

Just curious, because im sitting at my desk weezing and seeing spots, who all has/ had and or suffers from Asthma?

Ive had it since I was real little. Its not nearly as bad as it use to be. When I was a kid it was nothing to have one attack a week. Now that im older its far less frequent and for different reasons. I use to have attacks for no reason at all, now something usually sets it off.

Occasionally a moldy smell from a fresh cut hay field, or dust in AC vents, or something to that effect will set it off. After lunch a girl just over the wall from me came in with about 1/2 gallon of Toilet Water.

My perscription inhailer and primatine mist are both at home. Kind of stinks. Therefore im chugging coffee in hopes that this will pass soon. This is about the worst one ive had in a long time.....

Anyone else have to deal with Asthma?

Re: Asthma?

I think I have undiagnosed asthma.

If I run during cold weather or laugh really hard, I will go into a coughing fit.

I had one true asthma attack when staying at my wife's grandmother's house. We put a fan on the floor to keep us cool and I woke up coughing and wheezing so bad I thought I was going to pass out. Got up and sat in the lazyboy and had pretty much decided to go to the hospital when it left as quickly as it went but after 30 minutes my chest and sides were hurting from trying to breathe.

Good luck buddy. Keep those treatments with you because sometimes an Asthma attack can be deadly.

Re: Asthma?

Yep I have it. It kind of disappeared as I got older, but every now and then it acts up and I either have to sit down or get my inhaler. It was so bad when I ws a kid we had a machine with an oxygen mask that I breathed through for about half an hour for my attacks... good luck with it.

Re: Asthma?

I ended up drinking a lot of coffee yesterday. I figured the hot would help, it sometimes does. Didnt do much so I went with a diet Mt.Dew. Finally got some relief about 45-minutes to an hour later.

I was figity on the way home but finally able to breathe. My albuterol came with me this morning. I have a couple of inhalers so I guess im going to keep one on me....

You kind of underestimate the value of Oxygen until you arent getting any...... grin.gif
