Our high's here hit at 106 degrees and the heat index 110 degrees... Man I hate the heat.I'll be glad when winter gets back... How is it where you are at... I keep the thermostat at the house at 68 or less (as soon as I walk in I go straight to the thermostat and crank it down) - freezes my bride out but I just can't sleep well when it's hot. Funny thing is, I make sure Im the last one up for the night cause I have to go check the thermostat again to be sure the little lady didn't sneak it back up! Hey Griz It's 94 here with close to a hundred % humidity I grew up in northwest Oklahoma and before I moved down here by New Orleans everybody said it didn't get as hot but the humidity made it feel worse bull! I've been down here 16 years and I've yet to get as hot as I did in 106 temps there. The National Weather Service this morning issued an "excessive heat watch" for Hennepin and Ramsey counties (Minneapolis and Saint Paul) this weekend, saying in its bulletin that a "buildup of heat and high humidity is expected to result in dangerous heat [readings] between 100 and 105 on both Saturday and Sunday." The worst part of the day is after 3 p.m. That's when I go fishing. In about 30 minutes my shirt is soaking wet. And it's not cause I jumped in the water either. I've never been in a dry climate like out in Arizona. I guess I am used to this heat and humidity, but it sure is rough. I feel so sorry for the guys who have to work outside in this crap. The humidity is typically so I you can reach up into the air and pull down a handfull of water. Topping 100deg happens most of the summer.
