tped
A couple buddies of mine were experiencing problems with shooting 2 year old 777 loose powder where the can had been opened. Their Encores would shoot 8-10" low and the smoke from the barrel was very heavy. I shot on Thursday and my powder and bullet placement was exactly where it always was. They were wondering if there was a "shelf life" on this powder that would weaken it over time. Any thoughts? Of course it could have been the shoters or scope being off but they would never admit it was them and not the powder.

tped
Re: 777 shelf life? Randy. I meant that the bottle had been used over the past 2 years. They were closed with the original lid put back on tightly. I wouldn't think that the powder would lose any effectiveness with age of only 2 years

[/ QUOTE ] Lol Randy, you thought that was too easy didn't you I try to keep my powder dry and in a low humidity setting if I can ( garage). I sure wouldn't think 2 years old should effect it !! too_pointer
