JaySee
I have a mount on my wall that has a few spots where I just cant get the hair to totally lay down. Is there something I can use to get the hair to lay down?
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: help with my mount A damp cloth will work for the hair dont get it to wet just wet enough to manage it and it should lay right back where it was ... whatever you dont use hairspray or something like that ... it just colects dust. [/ QUOTE ] Ask any taxidermist just about every one of them will tell you not to use hair spray on a mount ... for that very reason ... and no I haven't used any hair spray on my mounts ... fortunately I havent had this problem ... but I maintain them pretty well so hopefully I wont either. RTF
Re: help with my mount Hair spray also stiffens up the hair and sticks it together and makes grooming more difficult. The cattle groom takes avery long time to dry out and I use it on all my deer mounts. It also gives the deer a a live look and not dried out look. Vandykes sells it and it is called "show groom".
