Re: colon cancer

my father had that surgery a few months back, very sore guy for quite soem time, they got away without having to use a bag, they removed 1/2 the diamiter of it instead of lengh, that managed to get all the nodes off!right now he back to his old self, [exept for eating some foods that are hard to digest like lettus ect, gives him bad indisestion] he was in the hospital for about a week, was not able to eat for 5-6 days untill he let the gas build up out naturally,[man you will see a gas build up, looks like he was pregnant]then as soon as he could eat they made sure his bowel was working and luckally all the cancer was inside the nodes removed and he did not need kemo or anything, I wish you and your familly the best and hope it goes as good as my fathers did!If you have any questions about what dad did or went through feel free to pm me!! good luck!!

Re: colon cancer

My father just had part of his colon removed and is now under going Kemo and Radiation, to be sure they got all of the cancer.... It took him quite sometime to heal from the surgery, so he's not very happy at the moment from being sick from the Kemo... frown.giffrown.gif

Prayers and thoughts go out to your family from here..
