Re: Under Armor Cold Gear

if you have a long walk to the stand, where you might get a little sweaty, they are definetly worth it. If you don't very often sweat while hunting, it's probably not worth it. The main thing under armour does it wicks the sweat off of your body. You also must wear a windproof layer over it, or you will freeze.

Took some getting used to as far as the tightness...but it is a good product IMO.

Its a mock turtle neck...meaning, it has a turtle neck like collar but not as high as a normal turtle neck. Not sure if the "t" part stands for t-shirt or if it has long sleeves?

Re: Under Armor Cold Gear

I have sold a ton of this stuff. ITS AWESOME.

I wear it all the time.

Remember there is 2 differnt kinds.

1. Heat Gear - is for warmer weather. It wicks the sweat from your body.

2. Cold Gear is designed for the colder weather. It still wicks your sweat away, but it is a bit thicker and works as insulation as well as moisture managment. VERY WARM in the winter IMO. grin.gif

Re: Under Armor Cold Gear

I got two sets of the cheap wal-mart knockoff stuff for $5 each on clearence and wore it last year. One set is a size too small, the other is the right size. I wear the loose ones when it's warm and both when it's cold. I don't know how the real stuff works and can't imagine how good it must be, cause the cheep stuff is great.

They are definitely tight but they do the job in terms of keeping me warm. I love the stuff! cool.gif

DITTO!!! wink.gif

DITTO X 2 grin.gif The tight fit takes a little getting used to but WELL worth it. Be sure to go to a local sporting goods store and try it on before ordering. Most people find that they have to buy one size up.

Good Luck!

Re: Under Armor Cold Gear

Under Armour is probably the best thing since sliced bread! I got deployed to Iraq and bought some heat gear before I went over, and that was all I wore over there. So when I got home I had to try out the cold gear as well, and it worked just as well as the heat gear. I recomend using heat gear for early season hunting and some cold gear for later in the season. Give it a try and you won't wear anything else.

Under Armour is awesome, it really is. Let me tell ya why... You can use it for everything..hunting, skiing, 4wheeler riding, etc. When I hunt, especially bow hunt, I like to be layered efficiently to stay warm, but at the same time, not be too bulky and noisy. So, the cold gear under armour is a great idea if you're looking to stay warm and not be look like the Mitchellin Man.

Re: Under Armor Cold Gear

I use it for football and baseball and it really does work. As its been said the fit takes time to get use to but sittin in a stand it is priceless. If you will be move hunting I recomend All-season gear cause you won't get as hot in it. For sittin Cold gear is awesome
