Dirty Rotton thieves !!!!!!!

Well sometime Sat night some rotten thieves stole my Honda fourtrax and my buddy's new Arctic Cat right out from under my carport. They also tried to get my Kodiak but couldn't get it to start, I found it behind my house where they pushed them and hot wired them. My buddy hadn't even put the bike in his name yet. I'll be calling my insurance company today to see if my home owners will cover it but I'm doubting it. Never had a problem in my area before. I'll be putting out fliers this evening posting a reward for info leading to the return of them. The Honda was the one I bought for my girlfriend and I taught her how to ride on it and she is some kind of upset. We had just went riding on Friday. I had them locked up with one of those big stainless cables.

Re: Dirty Rotton thieves !!!!!!!

That really stinks. had called state farm back some time ago about getting coverage added for our honda, but they never called me back. Hate to say it, but bet your insurance does not cover it unless you had them added.

We have or had known thieves living next to us, the boy stole a lot of stuff out of my barn and vandalized some things a few years back. So unfortunatley our after going and buying our new honda, it stays locked up in the garage and my truck is parked in the driveway. I would leave the 4 wheeler in the shed with the tractor, but just dont think I am trusting enough.

Re: Dirty Rotton thieves !!!!!!!

Homeowners doesn't cover it unless you have a rider on the policy....which is to say ATV/motorcycle insurance.

The guy at the Honda dealership who sold me my ATV said that 60% of their sales comes from stolen bikes.

I would do the following:

-Alert all pawn shops nearby

-Keep an eye on Oklahoma's craig's list forum

-Alert all dealership parts departments.....the thieves will have to find a set of keys to sell it--unless they are going to keep it for themselves.

Sorry to hear that, I hope the police find them. Based on value, that should be a significant charge if they are found.

Keep them locked up or somehow otherwise penned in boys, they are easy to steal and very sought after. I keep mine in a locked storage shed with an alarm on it.

Re: Dirty Rotton thieves !!!!!!!

Well you guys were right about the insurance looks like we are out a good chunk of change. At least I still have one left. I put the word out and unless they were shipped out of the area, I have a lot of eyes looking for me and they might turn up. Boy I would to catch someone riding one! If they do show up I'll let everyone here know. Thanks for letting me blow some steam off.

Re: Dirty Rotton thieves !!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that man.

A friend of mine had his fourwheeler on the trailer and the trailer was attached to his truck and pulled under his carport.

They took the trailer AND the fourwheeler.

His homeowners didn't pay either.

Definately worth the money to take out insurance on them, it ain't much per year.

Hope you get it back.

Maybe this won't get edited by Buckee. LOL

I hope that you get the justice that you prefer not that the courts say they deserve.

Good luck catching the theives that did this.

Start looking on ebay for parts. Remember to search items nearest you.

That is how I caught some crooks selling stolen property in the past.

The edits, by the way, were the "TITLE" of the post. I changed the original title, and then had to change all the Re:, Re: Re's: too, above everyone's reply.

tallone likes to make extra work for me grin.gif, but I won't hold it against him, because I know when he typed his priginal post, he was pretty hot under the collar....and rightly so
