Re: Brother\'s First Fight:

Sweet! I like match sports. I watch those on occasion if someone impressive is fighting like Ortez or Shamrock. That boy from Cuba is pretty bad too!

I bet its really nice live. Btw, for those who dont watch, 90% of the matches end in submission. Typically fighters dont really go Toe to Toe like a boxing match. Instead the Grapple (or lock up and roll around on the floor like high school wrestling).

Eventually someone gets a joint locked and the pain causes them to "Tap out." As soon as the hold is broken the pains pretty much over.....

Good stuff.

Re: Brother\'s First Fight:

True it does end up in the ground and pound grapple state, i wouldn't say 90 % end in submission, in todays MMA most of teh fights are ended by the referee........which was not the case 5-6 years ago, back then it was submit or get knocked out, there was no stopping a fight because you couldn't protect yourself. the reason for this change, so Mr. White can bring the MMA to the main stream with out complaints of violence................... It takes more than you think to submit someone.............. good on your brother....oh yeah what is his discipline?
