spyderpancake
I am just getting into archery, and i bought a PSE Whitetail Extreme that came with a standard 2-prong arrow rest that is noisy and the arrow falls off easily. I have been looking at rests, and it looks like the whisker biscuit is pretty good. Where can I find a good price on one? Are there any others in the $40 and under range that i should consider? Guest SpringCreek
Re: Whisker Biscuit? http://www.carolinaarcheryprod.com/rests.deluxeqs.html that is what I have and love it... I was in the same boat as you.. Had the same prong rest and hated it.. Now that I have a bisquit its like night and day better.. now I am trying to make myself want a drop away Good luck Brandon
Guest fishermanwhohunts
Re: Whisker Biscuit? Get Blazer Vanes to go with your Biscuit and you will have an awesome set up.
GWSmith
Re: Whisker Biscuit? Before you decide on a rest...Go to your local archery shop and see what they may have thats used. You could walk into having a superior quality arrow rest that someone traded-in thats in great shape. You would get good advice on each one and what they think their strong and weak points are to help you make the best decision.
mike
Re: Whisker Biscuit? so is there something wrong with a biscut? i like your question,i went to one for the same reason!! the only thing i noticed is you need to over glue the front of your vanes alittle so they don,t get loose. or does this cause troubles? i don't know. but the arrow not droppin in the rest or bumping it off when drawin or turnin in the stand seems priceless

maddhunter
Re: Whisker Biscuit? I put a Posi Loc Biskut on my Switchback when I first got it. I really liked alot. Can't go wrong with it. I have since switch to a Ripcord. It's full containment like the biskut only a dropaway. If I didn't have the Ripcord on I would definately have a Whisker Biskut!!!!! Guest ILclimber
Re: Whisker Biscuit? Glad to see your gonna be an archer for life, welcome to the forums! If you want to keep your prong rest you might be able to throw some camo fleece on there to soften the noise! Hope you find what your looking for! spyderpancake
Re: Whisker Biscuit? I guess I will go ahead and try one out. Is there much of a difference in the regular model and the drop-tine?
deerslayer10
Re: Whisker Biscuit? Don't konw about the different models but the one i have is great ..Would never use another kind of arrow rest..
maddhunter
Re: Whisker Biscuit? Spyder, just make sure you get the 2nd generation biskit with the quik load slot and different colored whiskers. (black and brown) And always load your arrow with your kok vane up. The black whiskers on the bottom are stiffer for arrow support. And as far as the different models, if you can I would recomend the droptine model because it has a square rod that eliminates accidentally turning the rest. [/ QUOTE ] Thats why I bought the upgraded version of my WB rest. I didnt like the round shaft because I was affraid that it would turn if bumped. Now I wish I would have paid the extra money and got the Deluxe version with the adjustment scale! Because I had to move my nock 3/8" last year because of broadhead - fieldtip impacts were different. This year with a new string I only had to move it 1/8". But it would have been better if I had the WB with the adjustment. I think Ill be getting that one soon, gonna give my current one to my nephew if he gets his bow. Save your money and get the best one you can afford! oldblue
Re: Whisker Biscuit? OK then I guess based on these posts I made a good purchase with a christmas gift card. I got a WB and can't wait to start shooting. I have one question and that is what is the best way to tune this puppy for shooting? Thanks for the advice in advance. wtnhunt
Re: Whisker Biscuit? Noticed in wal mart here the other day that they had the whisker biscuits for both aluminum and for carbons with inserts. Think they were $34.99 if I remember right. Did not see a version for carbons with outserts though which is what I shoot. Anyone know if the biscuits for carbons will work with the smaller diameter arrows using outserts? bigbucks
Re: Whisker Biscuit? i love mine so if you end up paying alittle more then what you want it sooo worth the money, its even better if your a tree stand hunter.
LifeNRA
Re: Whisker Biscuit? [ QUOTE ] I have one question and that is what is the best way to tune this puppy for shooting? Thanks for the advice in advance. [/ QUOTE ] I have the one with the square shaft, The Droptine QS, not the DELUXE Droptine QS! Unless you have the one with the horizonal and vertical adjustment. If not you can only adjust it horizonal, or left to right. I had FieldTip and BroadHead impact differences, one shooting high and the other low. Turns out I could only move my nock up or down to get the two shooting at the same spot. I got a tuning kit, placed it on the string and found out my nock was 1/2" too high with the rest. Once I moved it back down to 1/4", I was hitting the same with both heads. With the deluxe version, you can still keep center shot for the arrow, and move the rest instead. Spend the extra money for the better rest! I know I should have! Hopfully this helps! If I am wrong somebody will step in.
