Straight razor or electric razor?

Re: Straight razor or electric razor?

twin blades here.

Some day I want to grow it nice and scruffy and then find a barber for a REAL shave with a straight edge.

My current barber does use the straight edge on the back of my neck and to clean up just over the ears, but he doesn't offer a full facial shave.

Mach 3 for me. The electrics just don't do the same kind of job.

There it is.

My face is like sandpaper. Ive tried the expensive electrics and they dont work at all. Even with a blade I cant shave more then every other day or I carve my face to shreds.

This takes me back to my years in Los Alamos, NM - I'd go to a local Mexican barber named PePe (at least that's what I called him) who'd give me a nice warm lather neck / ears / chops shave with what must've been a 75 year old straight razor (before he shaved you, he'd hold the knife in front of your face for about 2-3 seconds to let you get a good look at it...). He had one of the steadiest hands I've ever seen...
