konfuzed
I recently acquired a dozen Gold Tip 5575 camo arrows, complete with quick spin fletchings. All I had to do is get them cut down to the correct length and the inserts glued in them. I called a buddy of mine and asked him if he would cut the arrows down for me, as well as install a new arrow rest that I bought during the off season. Sure, no problem. Well, it has been about 2 months since I have had my bow out and I got it down today and opened the case and immediately knew what that "sound" was my wife and I heard a couple weeks ago. My beautiful Mathews bow, named Christie, was not in her normal curved position. String has broken. I didn't even look to see if the limbs were cracked, I just put the arrows and rest inside the case and closed it back up. I HOPE all he has to do is the arrows, rest and string now. Sure am glad if it had to happen it did it now instead of the night before opening day, or worse yet while I was shooting that massive buck. Guest fishermanwhohunts
Re: Bummer, but better now than later How long is the warranty? I'm a Hoyt fan but I would hate that to happen to any bow. I hope this doesn't void the warranty.

GWSmith
Re: Bummer, but better now than later Good Luck with your bow and hope it does not take to much to get back in your arms again Shut Up John It's perfectly natural to name a persons bow... I have "Honey"(bow) and "The Kids"(arrows). We've been together just a few years after meeting at the Albany,NY Bass Pro Shops...she was just there hanging out. When we got together I promised Honey I would take the Kid's out to eat as much as possible She told me the other day that the kids looked like they were losing weight from eating too much Foam....I agreed...they need to eat more Venison She asked me the other day if she looked Phat? Of course being that we have a sometimes brutally honest relationship I told her the truth....YES Right now I'm going into my second full year with this string and cable set. The alarm clock is getting close with the amount that I have shot it. By the time rifle season rolls around Honey will get a new string bikini She used to wear nothing but a thongggggggg...So I got her some clothes so she could go out on public land....I bought her a limb savers/cat whiskers dress...LOL

She's such a good listener too....She'll lay accrossed my lap for hours and listen to my dreams

BowJoe
Re: Bummer, but better now than later I have many names for my Mathew's Outback depending on whether I get what I am after. I admit that we sometimes have an abusive relationship but for the most part all she wants is a wax and for me to take her out more often. I tell her straight up that if I get what I want then she will be treated like a princess but screw up once and I will look at the other ladies in the shop. (I would never trade her in for the world but she don't need to know that.) I think we have a pretty good relationship overall. I admit that I sometimes get nervous when it's time to perform but that's just a part of who I am and what makes me unique. It just shows how much I love what we do together and that every time is like the first time all over again. I tell her that every fall is like I'm a kid again.
