hunterfisherman
Never used a grunt call before. I would like to start this year and there are about 80 million on the market. Anyone have any good experiences with some. I would like to hear which ones work before I buy any.

The true talker is by far the best of the bunch. They sound great, there is very littel that can go wrong, etc. The price is good too. I bet you could pic one up off Ebay for a little of nothing. I saw on t.v. one demonstrated called "flextone" and have located it in cabelas. It sounded good on the tube. Anyone tried it before? Thanks, Ryan. kyhunter
Re: grunt calls one of my hunts with a true talker, I set up in my stand on public land, right on the boundry line of a hunting zone and no hunting, there is a creek that divides it and a hill that goes to about 150 yrds and levels off with a major deer path on the no hunting side.I would see Deer moving through at all hours of the day and when i seen them i would grunt with the true talker.I called in 9 bucks that day to 0 to 20 yrds from my tree.I took a very nice 10 pointer that day and really would have enjoyed just sitting there and seen what else i could have called in.i will have to say that i find the pre rut a key to calling in the bucks with a good call True talker is awesome,Kyhunter
hoytguy08
Re: grunt calls i have the true talker and it's great, but i recently bought the MAD growler and it sounds very good. You can do normal grunts, tending grunts, and of course, the growl. The growler doesn't have the option of the doe bleat like the true talker but i have the primos can so i don't need the bleat on my grunt call. If i were you i would seriously look at this new call

Guest PixelDoctor
Re: grunt calls True Talker For Sure... I bought the Growler and was so dissappointed that I GAVE IT AWAY! It is the most worthless call, and if you go to the Drury's website and listen to the segment on the growler, it sounds nothing alike... No volume, and the "GROWL" sounds like a extended grunt "Clicky" Just my 2 Cents

I am afraid if I ever snort weezed that would send the deer in my woods to the next county!! Tru Talker by far is the greatest value and sound out there in my opinion!!
