johnf
I saw this gorilla saftey vest that's made like the hunter safety system at walmart and it only costs $49. What do you think?
buckee
Re: Gorilla safety vest? I don't know. What is that back strap attached too. Is it just sewn into the top of the vest???

wtnhunt
Re: Gorilla safety vest? Looks like it would be more comfortable to wear and easier to put on than a harness.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Gorilla safety vest? The vests are much easier to put on and maybe the guys who don't wear one think the harness's are too much of a hassle and don't want to get tangled in them just trying to put the thing on. If all treestand harness's were the vest types I think lots more hunters would wear one. If its simple to put on that may make them wear one. My vest is simple to put on and its the last part of gear I put on before I hit the trail to stand! I can see in the future all harness's going the way of the vest! yooperkenny
Re: Gorilla safety vest? Along those same lines, I see Bass Pro has a vest made by Gorilla that works with any full body harness and is only $25. I have several harnesses already and might try this out. [/ QUOTE ] Try this one (Bass Pro's website) http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.T...arTarget=browse Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it what I'm thinking - you use your full body harness and somehow attach it to this vest for ease of on/off?

Guest Finn
Re: Gorilla safety vest? I've got a gorilla vest and like it. The buckle in the front could be smaller, but it's easy to use and I like how it attaches to a tree.
wtnhunt
Re: Gorilla safety vest? Cool, thanks for the link, got a harness from ameristep that is a bit complicated that I might just have to put into one of those vests for trial. For that price, I might just have to get one to try out. If it works well, might also put one in my summit harness. Wonder if the have to be sewn in or if they attach easily somehow?
