Guest Finn
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 Congrats on the new gun...that's an great set up. Sorry, I don't have a 7mm-08. If I did, I'd go with the Remington Core-Lokt pointed soft point in 140 grains. That should be perfect for deer.
JimPic
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 I have a Browning A-Bolt in 7mm/08 amd it really likes Federal Premium 140gr w/the Nosler Ballistic tip.
njbowhntr
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 I shoot a few different Remington 700's. I find that Remington Core-Lokts shoot the best out of all my rifles, with the exception of my handloads. I am looking forward to building a 7mm-08 next spring. It is a great little caliber. BamaTrophyHunter
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 i would definetly get the Remington Core-Lokts every deer i've shot with them has had a great blood trail (if you hit em right) and doesn't go far. Shaun_300
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 Congrats on the new gun. The best thing to do is buy a few different brands/grains and take the gun out to the range. Shoot a few groups of each and see which one groups the best. bowhtr1
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 Nice rifle. I have a 280 mountain rifle. This thing is accurate with alot of different ammo. I find the best results with my reloads and 140 grain nozler balistic tip bullets. I also have shot the Federal premium with the same bullets and they are good also. Good luck. You will have no problem bringing a deer down with any of this or the above mentioned ammo if you do your part.
Jeramie
Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 [ QUOTE ] I shoot a few different Remington 700's. Ive shot the corelokt out of a lot of different guns. They are generally a great, accurate round. Ive only had one gun that didnt shoot them well. As cheap as they are id give em a try.
