Re: Hunting Boots

LaCrosse for sure. My brother had the Rocky's and they started leaking along the seams within a few months, so he sent them back and got a new pair for free. The new pair did the same. We won't ever buy another Rocky brand boot.

Now him, me, and our dad all have the LaCrosse Alpha Burly in 1000g Thinsulate. Best boots we've ever owned.

I'm working in a shoe store this summer and have tried on every hunting boot they sell. Danner's by far the most comfortable boot I've tried on. The 8" Pronghorn 1000gram Thinsulate are gonna be on my feet come late fall without a doubt.

Re: Hunting Boots

I had a pair of Rocky Bear Claws for 3 years prior to my Caribou hunt. I spent a week in those boots. I walked through everything. The outsides of the boots did not dry out till I got home. But, my feet never got wet. The feet were warm and dry for the whole week. I have also hunted in Maine when it was 6* for the daily high, and the feet were nice and toasty all day.
