Guest shooter88
I,m looking to buy either the Rocky or Lacrosse brand boots. They gotta be 1000 grams insulated. What would you guys suggest?
wtnhunt
Re: Hunting Boots Either should be good. Have been pretty happy with Rocky boots for the most part. Bought the wife a pair of LaCrosse boots, and she likes them, but I personally have never had a pair.

Bownarow
Re: Hunting Boots Lacrosse Alpha Burly. I bought them two winters ago and absolutly love them. They are more comfortable than any of my tennis shoes.

Mach1
Re: Hunting Boots LaCrosse for sure. My brother had the Rocky's and they started leaking along the seams within a few months, so he sent them back and got a new pair for free. The new pair did the same. We won't ever buy another Rocky brand boot. Now him, me, and our dad all have the LaCrosse Alpha Burly in 1000g Thinsulate. Best boots we've ever owned. snapper
Re: Hunting Boots I have 3 pair of Rocky's and 1 pair of LaCrosse's. Both are good....but I gotta tip my cap towards the Rocky's if picking just from those two. As stated above...can't go wrong with Danners! elkhntnfool
Re: Hunting Boots Man what about White's. They make an outstanding boot. They do cost a bit more but you can't put a price on warm comfortable feet when in the field.

Guest WhiskeyMan44
Re: Hunting Boots I'm working in a shoe store this summer and have tried on every hunting boot they sell. Danner's by far the most comfortable boot I've tried on. The 8" Pronghorn 1000gram Thinsulate are gonna be on my feet come late fall without a doubt. njbowhntr
Re: Hunting Boots I had a pair of Rocky Bear Claws for 3 years prior to my Caribou hunt. I spent a week in those boots. I walked through everything. The outsides of the boots did not dry out till I got home. But, my feet never got wet. The feet were warm and dry for the whole week. I have also hunted in Maine when it was 6* for the daily high, and the feet were nice and toasty all day.
