wtnhunt
Some pics of the progress of our summer pea/sorghum plots. Pretty happy with how they are doing at this point. Planted June 17th. A mix of cowpeas, remnants of a bag of lablab plus from last year and sorghum. A closeup
wtnhunt
Re: summer plot progress(pics) Here are some of the other summer plot, mostly sand here at the bottom of the hill. Same mix as the pics above. First one from up on the hill, the river is just beyond the woods. Wife and kids standing in the wash where it flooded after planting, anyone see any good potential bow stand sites? A couple of closeups

bowhtr1
Re: summer plot progress(pics) Looks like some nice spots. It looks like they are hitting the peas and Lab Lab because I dont see much of it.

[/ QUOTE ] It is there, up underneath the sorghum, kind of hard to see. They are hitting the peas on the edges pretty good though.
bowhtr1
Re: summer plot progress(pics) Are they hitting the sorghum? It looks like nothing is messing with it. If they are not hitting it then this is something I will scratch off my list of things to try.

[/ QUOTE ] Yep, sorghum is a grain. The deer will eat the grain that tassles, and they do hit it pretty hard in the fall, which is the perfect time .
