New bow purchase

I am looking at bows to buy and have narrowed it down to 2. A fred bear element or a parker buck hunter. Both come as a package deal. I like the parker but the fred bear is a cheaper package. Is there a going to be that much of a difference between the two. I am new to bow hunting and have not heard that much about fred bear bows. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. confused.gif

Re: New bow purchase

Without taking a second thought...........the Fred Bear. Better quality bow without any doubt. Parker is overrated and have alot of problems. Strutbuster on MO just bought a Parker Hornet and had mishap after mishap.

Don't know if you were around but I had a Phoenix 32 that lasted me about 2 weeks. There are alot of cases just like mine and strutbusters all over at.

Re: New bow purchase

Thanks for the info. I started bowhunting about 4 years ago with a used PSE. I hurt my shoulder and sold it a year and a half ago. I just got to the point where I can pull back 55 lbs comfortably so I am going with the 55-60 lbs model with a 29 inch draw. I just want to get back into the woods and have a good time. I am just going to be hunting deer turkey with it. There isn't anything else in southwest missouri big enough to hunt with a bow. Looks like fred bear is the way to go.
