Team Realtree Jerky!

Just got a bag of this at Cabela's on Saturday. It was really good! But I have one question! Its made by Trails Best, which is owned by Sara Lee Corporation! Which is a known anti-gun organization! Since we hunters use guns to hunt, wouldn't this not seem right by Realtree? Then again, maybe this is an over-sight?

If Sara Lee is anti-gun! Why is the Realtree name on it??? I am by all means not trying to start an aurgument, but maybe Realtree doesnt know this! I was hoping Scott might see this and shed some light!

Re: Team Realtree Jerky!

What difference does it make ... for the most part the only thing that makes a company anti gun is the CEO says I dont like guns ... the rest of the company could support it ... Realtree has Sara Lee make there jerky through a sister company ... Sara Lee cant be too anti gun to take realtrees money knowing where 99.9% of the money comes from ... hunters with guns.... It doesn't make a bit of difference who makes there jerky if you ask me ... just think whos names aren't on that list and you still buy product from them.... the best part about this is by you saying maybe RT doesn't know this you are saying that they support anti gun agenda ROFL which is absolutely hidious ... who cares really it isn't that big a deal ....

Yep I get it LOL Still nothing to get all uptight about ... I mean it is just jerky here its not like they are pushing there agenda on us through the jerky ... my point is that there are thousands of companys that we "support" that are anti gun .... I personally will continue to buy this jerky since it is about the best store bought stuff I have found ... but I wont think a lick about supportign anti gun organizations ... I just dont see it that way ...

Re: Team Realtree Jerky!

Trail's Best is no longer a part of Sara Lee. Trail's Best was bought by Monogram Food Solutions of Memphis in May of this year. They are not affiliated with Sara Lee and any of their positions on hunting or anti-gun efforts in any way, shape, form, or fashion.

In defense of Sara Lee. When this issue arose a couple of years ago there happened to be a group of "civic minded" Sara Lee employees who formed an organization to provide grants to organizations they felt were worthy. Sara Lee corporate had nothing to do with the group other than the fact that they were all SL employees. That group provided a one-time grant to the Sarah Brady Anti-Gun organization

Thanks,

S
