RyanH
Guys today I bought a Encore frame. I got the Black comp stock with the stainless metal! I am wanting to buy a barrel for it now. What caliber should I buy???? I will be mainly using this for yotes, until I buy other barrels for other types of hunting!

Shaun_300
Re: Caliber for Yotes! I use a .22-250 for varmints, the ones hunting guide listed will do the trick too.

wtnhunt
Re: Caliber for Yotes! Been using a .243 here, but wouldnt mind getting a .223. The .243 is good for deer or yotes.

Squirrelhunter91
Re: Caliber for Yotes! Just upgraded, well sorta downgraded from the .30-30 to an AR in .223.. Gonna be sticking with the .223 for a while now or .22 MAG.
Guest Snider
Re: Caliber for Yotes! 22-250 is my fav.. I shoot a Remington VS 22-250 and it is a coyote killing machine
Guest andymansavage
Re: Caliber for Yotes! Anything from .22 mag to .50Cal will Work. I usually shoot a .243 as well but if you are not saving the pelts you can't go too big. Andy
VTbowman
Re: Caliber for Yotes! .223 Very cheap ammo too..
traprdave
Re: Caliber for Yotes! I use a .223. It leaves very little pelt damage. I save and sell, but if you are just shooting, just about all that were stated would work.
257bob
Re: Caliber for Yotes! All of what has been mentioned is prime, but I like to be different. I shoot a 257 Roberts at yotes. I also like the 6mm Remington, it is the same bullet as the .243 but its faster and flatter.

WaCoyote
Re: Caliber for Yotes! Hey ryanh!!! I havent been around in about 4 months. Good to see your still out and about. Go with a 22-250 or a 220 swift. I shoot a 22-250 and when those dogs are hit it's instant death. You can hold dead on out to 350 or so. That thing shoots like a laser beam. Good luck to you, keep us posted.

Guest wyote1
Re: Caliber for Yotes! i used my 22-30/30 for years, but its a wildcat and making ammo is the pits...lol i now have a ruger#1 stainless in .204...tack driver for sure, but if money is a problem, the .223 ammo is the cheapest around
