8ptbuckpa
Hi everyone! I was just what kind of broadheads you use and your opinion on other ones you have shot. I am thinking of switching to mechanicals and am looking at crimson black mamba or rage slip cams. what do you think
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: opinions on broadheads for fixed blades i prefer the good ole muzzys! and for mechanical...can't go wrong with grim reapers...
preacherman
Re: opinions on broadheads I have always been a fan of the NAP brand of broadheads. Have shot the 125 grain Thunderheads for a few years; but am thinking about switching to the Spitfire's this year in 100 grain.
buckee
Re: opinions on broadheads I got hooked on the Montec G5's. I'm very happy with them.
Guest Finn
Re: opinions on broadheads I shoot Muzzy 100 grain with 4 blades. I like the price of 6 for $30 and haven't found any worth paying double that. If mechanicals, I'd go with Rocket Steelheads.
tedicast
Re: opinions on broadheads In a fixed blade, there are a ton of good choices. You can't go wrong with Montecs, Slick Tricks, Wasp Boss Bullets, Wac'em's. All great heads. If I were to shoot a mechanical, my choice would be the Nap Spitfires. They are great, well built head. No elastic bands.
wtnhunt
Re: opinions on broadheads Been shooting muzzy 3 blade 100 grains for a couple years now. They fly great with my setup, been very happy with them.
Chrud
Re: opinions on broadheads I use Muzzy 100 4-Blades. I might give the MX-4's a try this year also. I wouldn't use any Crimson Talon/Spin Tight heads. Period. If I were to use mechanicals, I would look at the Rocky Mountain Snypers or Grim Reapers. Gator
Re: opinions on broadheads Shot the Muzzy 4 blade in the past, along with the TEKAN, this year I will be using Magnus Stinger Buzzcut

Chrud
Re: opinions on broadheads I've seen the mechanical versions actually lose the mechanical blades and break the "fixed" blade on them. I wouldn't shoot the original CT's because the blades seem very weak to me. Some folks have had good luck with them, but I wouldn't risk it.
