Full moon?

Run of bad luck around my house lately.

The other day my youngest child decides to do a front flip on the trampoline and almost breaks his arm. Turned out to be a bad sprain. frown.gif

Then later that afternoon, my husband just about sets himself on fire. mad.gif

We have been clearing our property for the new house. We've cut down several trees. And burning the limbs in big piles. My husband decides cause they're green, he should put gas on it to help get it burnt quicker. crazy.gif

No big deal. He's done this many times before. Right? Right.

He gets the gas poured on. Gets away from the pile. Strikes the match.

The match BREAKS.......falls to his feet and IGNITES.

Not sure exactly what happened. He was about 10-15 feet away from the pile. confused.gif

It sounded like a bomb went off in the back yard. shocked.gif

Johnny's hair on his left leg was gone. And almost immediately his skin start bubbling and rolling off.

Does he go to the doctor??? NOOOOOOOOOO.

Oh well. He's got it bandaged and what-have-you. Maybe it won't get infected. mad.gif

Re: Full moon?

I learned to use diesel fuel becuase it wont explode like you say it did. And Its also a lot more stable then gas. So next time try some diesel fuel and see how thats works for you

Re: Full moon?

Sorry to hear he got hurt. I would never ever use gas to start a fire, that is really very dangerous. Burnt oil, or diesel yes, gasoline, never. He is lucky it was not worse. When burning brush piles around here, have always used old oil transmission or hydraulic fluid.
