BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Bow Mishaps Site fell off on the way to the stand ... still stuck a possum at 20 yards .... wasn't the bows fault but it was bow hunting. Steve
VTbowman
Re: Bow Mishaps Had a upper limb smack a branch upon release and another time had a cam smack the crap outa my thigh upon release. Had my left knee up on a small rock. Though I broke my leg that time.
wtnhunt
Re: Bow Mishaps About the only thing to happen with my bow has been the peep busted after the shop put my new string on last season and it flew off when I shot.

Guest ILclimber
Re: Bow Mishaps My mistake I might add, Instead of putting my release below my arrow, I wasn't even paying attention. I had clasped my release on top of the arrow and didn't realize this until I was at full draw. Needless I shot right under that big ol' doe. Darn the bad luck! magnatecsteve
Re: Bow Mishaps Back when Hoyt came out with their Redline cam, had to send it back cause it kept shredding the cable serving. They admitted that there was an engineering glitch in the cam and gladly sent a newer inproved one to the shop. Never had a bow problem since then. HarvDog
Re: Bow Mishaps Not enough time to practice and hunt with it. Other than that, I haven't had many problems or mishaps...knock on wood!
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Bow Mishaps was pulling my bow up...and the sight hooked on a small branch and broke all but one pin off....went to gander mountain the next day to return some $70 pants and use that money to get a copper john 3 pin sight....got there...returned the pants and found 2 sights mismarked...instead of $69.99 they were marked $6.99.....so that sight breaking was a great thing

Switchback29A1
Re: Bow Mishaps knot undid itself on the way down one night...only fell 2 or 3 feet though. Still not a good sight while I was watching it fall.
Cutter
Re: Bow Mishaps I also had a knot come undone pulling my bow up one evening. It was from around 16 ft. The bow bounced about 4 ft. Cracked a limb. It was a good thing I had a backup to get me through.
Guest dkm72
Re: Bow Mishaps I must have hit my site on a branch on the way to my stand. I let an arrow go at a doe and heard a very loud "crack". Deer looked straight up and walked away. My arrow was in the tree five yards away from where the deer was and the site was hanging off. HitRmisS
Re: Bow Mishaps i had my string break when i took a shot at a doe ad didnt realize it but my arrow had came off the nock, and last year on opening morning, i was standing in my camphouse and i drew back to make sure the string was clearing all my clothes and forgot to take my arm guard off the string and it got sucked down into the cam and threw the string off track, no opening day hunt for me
tallone
Re: Bow Mishaps I was in my stand and it was just getting into prime time. A doe walked out down the hill and although I'm usually aware of my bow/stand position, I hadn't seen a deer in the whole week I was there so needless to say I forgot a few things. I drew back and turned slightly to my left and as I pulled my release a loud clank was heard, my lower cam smacked my stand and split my lower limb. The arrow stuck a foot in front of the deer as it headed to the next county. One thing I found out was Parker has a great warrenty they authorized the dealer to take a brand new bow of the shelf and replace bow my limbs and cam. I was hunting the next evening.
