Back from Maryland

Well I made it up Sunday and since there is no hunting on Sundays I was shown around the property and I will say that those were the best looking woods I've ever been in! The hunt was okay, I saw lots of deer but the few big bucks I saw stayed out of range and paid no attention to my calling, I really wished I would have had my climber with me. All in all it was worth it and I would do it again. I saw a few things I've never seen, a red fox, a porcupine and the last day a bald eagle landed in the tree next to me and just as I was about to take his picture he took off, man that is one large bird! Thanks to the people who hepled me decide to go, I'm planning on going back in the middle to end of December.

Re: Back from Maryland

I was hunting on the eastern shore outside of Easton

The property backs up to a wildlife sanctuary. It was on the airport side of hwy 50. The woods were very open not like the underbrush we have here. You could see 200 yards when you were on the ground with nothing but leaves to walk on. Big trees. Sitting in the stand with those surroundings made the trip worthwhile. Down here you generally can't see 50 yards on the ground and thats in the clearer areas. At least where I hunt.
