Re: Should us hunters be worried!!!!

Think Bambi on steroids and funny. I admit this is funny but it also makes every hunter out to be vicious and mean and the horrible bad guy. I like humor as much as the next guy but seeing this movie only fuels the money made for more movies like this. I know I don't want my baby girl to think I'm a bad guy because of a movie.

It is pretty funny. Hollywierd always portrays hunters in a bad way, they do not know the difference. I don't think it will hurt us to bad. Congress is the one we better keep an eye on!!!!

Let me tell you about an encounter I had with a Non-Hunter one afternoon.

I was headed out for an afternoon hunt and stopped at a store for a Pepsi.

All I did was say "Hello" and it started a conversation. I found out that this guys impression of a hunter was some beer guzzling redneck shooting up the woods. At the end of the conversation he Thanked Me...for taking the time to talk to him and he was glad his impression was wrong.

Thats how we do this...one person at a time being willing to spend a few minutes letting them get to know us as a group a little bit better.

As far as your daughter goes...as soon as they see this movie or another one like it they know whats wrong. They know how many hugs they get and the person who is giving them. They dont need a movie to tell them what the truth is!!!

You'll probably hear something like "I know you aint like that daddy" wink.gif ...And thats a great chance to tell them what some other people think "Hunters" are like and set the record straight!
