If you are planting where you have alot of trees then you will need to rake the leaves off after they drop. At that point you will get more sunlight and you can even grow some clover with it. I dont know what the seed you are looking at cost or what seed is in the blend but I would try and find out what is in it. You can do your own blend and try a few different things.
