TexasDeerHunter
Does anyone know where to buy barrels for Thompson Center Contenders? Do they make one in .308win or .260rem ?
VTbowman
Re: Contender Question? Fox Ridge Outfitters is T/C's custom shop and yes they make boith and about 100 more different calibers. Around $230 for a custom. You will need to click on the Custom Shop button though it does not go right to it. You could also try ebay as they have about 100 barrel fro sale at any given time.. May come in cheaper may not.

doubleA
Re: Contender Question? I think the 260 Rem and 308 Win generate to much pressure for the Contender frame, I do know that the stronger Encore frame handles them.
Guest TCScout
Re: Contender Question? doubleA is right. If you want those calibers you need to go with the Encore, which is a longer, beefier frame than the old contender and the new G2 Contender. If you already have a contender frame there might be a caliber that would fit the frame that would suit you. I am thinking of the 7X30 Waters for example. VTbowman
Re: Contender Question? I can not say yea or ney on the pressure but know you can get a lot of differnet calibers made for it at Fox Ridge Outfitters. I own an Encore and thsoe guys are correct in it being more beefier a platform for custom calibers and some crazy stuff. LOL Go to www.handgunhunt.com for more info on there forum. Also http://specialtypistols.infopop.cc/eve which is even bigger but you need to sign up for that one. Both a wealth of info on this type of firearm.
