western NY bowhunter
I've got the day off from work...it's already 90 degrees out and I'm bored so I thought that I'd post a few pics. of a nice 10-pt. that I saw while spotlighting last night. I'm guessing he's probably a 4 yr. old buck. Although he's no mid-western sized bruiser by any means, he's a pretty good one for this area of the state where 85% of our bucks will never live long enough to grow their second set of antlers . Since I don't hunt here, I'm hoping that no one will get him this fall. This guy's still got at least 2 yrs. of growth left in him yet. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos. I had to pause the video camera and then take photos of the LCD Screen.

Tominator
Re: Nice buck from NY... OMG! Holy Crap! That deer's got to be crowding 150 or higher, probably higher. looks like he's got some stickers. Is he an 8 or 10? He's at least 4 I'd say. His buddy is no slouch, BTW. toddyboman
Re: Nice buck from NY... Nice looking buck. Maybe since you cant hunt him, maybe you could hunt for his shed in the off season.

RangerClay
Re: Nice buck from NY... To quote my daughter who is sitting next to me. "Wow! Look at the size of those horns!" Must be all the grapes the deer get to eat in your neck of NY. Ranger

[/ QUOTE ] Funny you should mention that. Keuka Lake just happens to be about a mile down the hill from where I saw this guy...lots on vineyards in this area. The grapes are a magnet for the deer and turkeys in the fall.
