JamesVee
Would you shoot this buck? He's got some great beams, nice width as well as some good G2's. Here is a pic of him from early in June: And my most recent pics:

c_lou
Re: Shooter? I am going to say no. While he looks tempting, he only looks to be at most 3 1/2 years old. He still has some tine length to add. However, I am sure if I passed on this buck, I wouldn't see another deer all year long.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Shooter? 125 class 8 point, probably 3.5 years old. If your goal is to let them reach their full potential, then he needs to walk. Definitely some growing left in him. If your goal is to shoot a good looking deer for the wall, then that one qualifies. Ohiobucks
Re: Shooter? Tempter, but I would let him walk. Last thing I need to do is shoot a Tominator type buck, and have him come down on me HARD! I say he walks, nice looking buck though!
Huntr104
Re: Shooter? Here in my neck of the woods, he wouldn't be walking past my treestand without gettin an arrow launched at him. Good luck with him. He's still got some growing to do too.
unioncountyslayer
Re: Shooter? Depends on the pressure around you. If you have enough acreage and think that this buck can make it another season, I'd let him walk. If there is heavy pressure and you're worried about someone else getting a shot at him, It'd be very tempting to go ahead and put him on the wall if you get the chance. Good luck! ruttinbuc
Re: Shooter? I never could understand that kind of thinking from a management point of view. We can shoot a doe a day, but not bucks. Neat how you did that, JV!

Tominator
Re: Shooter? [ QUOTE ] Tempter, but I would let him walk. Last thing I need to do is shoot a Tominator type buck, and have him come down on me HARD! I say he walks, nice looking buck though! [/ QUOTE ] Here's the deer Tom was referring to next to yours. I think your deer will be a hair wider, and his one brow looks bigger. My deer last year scored right around 119" Given the same circumstances as last year, yep, I'd shoot him. If I was with Tom, nope, I'd pass. Not going to take that abuse 2 years in a row. He's a nice one for sure though!
