Shaun_300
Just got home from work and heard on the radio that the Humidex is 52 degrees celcius here right now. Which is 125 farenheit. I had to work in that allll day long, in a hot shop under hot cars. I think I drank 15 bottles of water today. This is the hottest I've ever seen it up here, thank gosh it's starting to cool off tomorrow and it'll be back in the mid 70's by friday, like normal "northern" weather. Tominator
Re: This Heat is Unreal! Just got home from getting my son his football cleats for this year, and the truck's thermometer said 98. That's hot for Ohio. Heat index had to be around 105.
Swamphunter
Re: This Heat is Unreal! No doubt...absolutely no doubt, somehow this is the fault of President Bush! I will go into the political room and ask a liberal how he managed it. Same here Shaun, very hot. I am not used to this crap, I live just south of you and this sucks. You southerners can keep this, I'll take my 40 below zero, over this, anytime.

They all agreed.

MUDRUNNER
Re: This Heat is Unreal! No doubt!I hate summer!I've had enough.Bring on the fall!Temps in the 100's again today here.About the fifth day in a row,and supposed to get another tomorrow before it cools off into the mid 90's. I wish I could talk the wife into moving back to Minnesota.I'd much rather deal with the snow(which I love) than this ridiculous heat. Turkeygirl
Re: This Heat is Unreal! Yeah, we were in the 90's today with a heat index over 100! Of course I was one of the lucky few student workers who cleaned in an air conditioned building....
Randyman
Re: This Heat is Unreal! It has been 100 degrees plus for the last 3 days here. I started a new job working for US Steel back in June working on their Coke Ovens. These ovens operate at about 2,300 degrees, and you can add about 40 degrees to the heat index to get the temperature i work in. Lately that is about 150! I probably drink 3 gallons or more of water in an 8 hour shift! Thankfully, i only have 1 more Day shift to do, then i start Midnights. If any of you have seen the show "Dirty Jobs" where they featured Coke Ovens, you know what i do for a living! It's a hot, dirty job, but the money is goooood! It is still brutal after sunset here. I shot a round of arrows out my second floor AC'd kitchen window and almost had a heat stroke going out and fetching them! wtnhunt
Re: This Heat is Unreal! Our humidity here recently has been pretty bad. Actual temps have not been over 100 too much this summer. Was 93 in town yesterday at a church at 10 am. Was 96 an hour later when I drove back by. Not sure just how hot it actually got here yesterday, but looks like we are not going to get a break anytime real soon.

Was back up about 125 or above again today. they have said it has bee 132 so far this year and I do not remember the last day that we did not hit 100. Think it was sometime back in April. Well I should be home soon and don't know what I will do when it is only getting up to 70. Right now, my AC takes my box down to 70 at about 0200 and I am looking for my other banky, yep socks, sheets and 2 bankys to keep worm at 70. Look out Land of the Big Waly-Warld.
