Ok, here is the truth, and nothing but the truth......I have had an inner ear infection (swimmers ear???) I dont know, for the last 4 days......almost to the point where the pain was so bad, I WANTED my head to explode....I got my wish, unfortunately, it tore my eardrum open pretty good, and I STILL have the pain.......after all the blood stopped, I went the the clinic and met with a very nice doctor, who gave me a script for medicated ear drops...the problem is now, Im in pain, and my inner ear is so swelled up, it doesnt reach the area.........has anyone else had this problem...............thanks for reading this, I am so miserable. al

Real sorry to hear that Al. You make sure you stay on top of it, doctor-wise, before it gets any worse.

I'll keep you in my prayers buddy, and hope for the best.

I've had ear infection problems for the last year or so. Psoriasis in my one ear. It drives me nuts, but not as painful as what your going through.

Take some tylenol for the pain and lay on the opposite side of the bad ear after putting in the drops. The ear drops are more than likely getting to the area, but they do little for pain. Hang in there, bud! I've had ear problems all my life i know what you are going through. frown.gif

My 10 yr old just had the same thing happen a week 1/2 ago, his is almost better but I never seen anyone so miserable. When you put the drops in he would cry as soon as you touched the ear.Get some drops and antibiotics and youll be better in about a week I hope, good luck frown.gif

Sorry to hear that Al. My kids have had ear infections, and I have had a few sinus infections that went into the inner ear. Definitely no fun, especially if it is effecting your equilibrium making you feel dizzy sick on top of the pain. Hope you get the ear healed up and get to feeling better soon buddy.

i can tell ya what i have had problems with my ears since i was a little kid, always had to get tubes in them when i was growing up, but know i have permanent holes in both my ear drums cause one time when i was a kid the doc prescribed something that wasnt right, i ended up getting eye drops instead of ear drops, and well after i took them i was in terrible pain, well found out that it had burned holes in both ear drums and ive been living like this for some time now supposed to wear ear plugs when i swim or anytime around water but i dont, so thats my story so im sure i know what some of that pain you had feels like
