hutchies
Re: Schaffer Tec1 The Tec1 is specially made for Hoyt. It locks onto the riser. Here is a link. You will have to click on the Tec1 I believe. http://www.schafferarchery.com/productcatalog.aspx

hutchies
Re: Schaffer Tec1 Think I am just gonna find a TT Pronghorn. I just don't think you can beat a TT.
257bob
Re: Schaffer Tec1 Sportsmans Warehouse has the original lizard tounge TT, that has always been a good target rest. They might even have the new pronghorns by now. They didn't before I left. That Schaffer looks sharp since it fits to the riser.

hutchies
Re: Schaffer Tec1 I have a shakey hunter on my Illusion but the shelf on the Vtec is narrow and the shakey hunter slaps the side of the shelf...........not what I want. 257bob
Re: Schaffer Tec1 I was refering to the small launcher. The first one TT came out with. They make the shakey hunter with the small launcher (or at least they used to). The one I was talking about is actually a little smaller than the pronghorn. The pronghorn will work fine, but I thought the original might cost a little less.
hutchies
Re: Schaffer Tec1 I know what you are talking about I was talking to MO hunter. The original TT had the Lizard tounge but alot of hunters didn't like it because of the chance of it falliing off the V. I am going to use this bow as my backup as well so I want a rest that will still work great for that. I think the Pronghorn fits the bill. Chrud
Re: Schaffer Tec1 [ QUOTE ] Think I am just gonna find a TT Pronghorn. I just don't think you can beat a TT. [/ QUOTE ] You can with a Schaffer. I had the MAT-1 on my Switchback for a few weeks, but switched to the Mathews Rest. The Schaffer is nearly identical (locks on to riser) to the Mathews. The Schaffer is much quieter than a TT, both right out of the box.

I couldn't find one on ebay at a good price. Biggest problem I'm lefthanded. I ended up getting it from basspro along with a bow master portable bow press and installed myself. I figure the press will pay for itself not having to drive 50 min each way to the pro shop.
