NiteRunner Posted August 3, 2006 Report Share Posted August 3, 2006 Here's some Pictures I took last year at one event where they had a Water Race for the Coonhounds. A Water Race is where they pull a stuffed coon in a cage across the pond on a float and release the dogs from one side of the pond. The dogs have to swim to the other side after the coon and then Bark Treed on the Telephone pole which the coon was pulled up. I've had them hosted for awhile now but can't remember is I posted them on here. So here they are! Anyone ever watched one before? Sometimes they Swim Greyhounds in them. And They're Off! They only let a few dogs go at a time, here's one group, Here they come! Here's What they do after the Swim, Sometimes a Dog can't make it the full way and they had a Rescue Boat ready to go after the ones that couldn't make it.
