Jeramie
Dad bought a Glock .380 (semi-auto) from a local Pawn shop. It was full Chrome with pearl grips. He took it home, cleaned it, and oiled the whole thing down with Rem Oil. He said the action and everything was very smooth. He also bought a couple of boxes of ammo so he could play with his new toy. He stepped out behind the house and on the very first shot the gun flew into pieces. The slide literally flew over his shoulder, springs went everywhere, etc. He was left holding the grip and a blank look on his face. He said when he cleaned it everything felt pretty tight. Nothing seemed wrong. It scared him to death. He called the pawn shop and the guy said to come back and he could have his money back. After dad got there he ended up buying a High Point for $60 (new). The guy gave him back the rest of his money and dad went on his way but man! That would have scared me to death! At first I was mad at the pawn shop owner but dad swears the gun felt 100% while he was cleaning it! I will only buy guns from a select few pawn shops, this only concretes that decision…
njbowhntr
Re: Dad had a scare! That would be very scary. But, glad to hear that your dad was not injured. And good thing he got his money back with any hassle.

[/ QUOTE ] Glad your dad wasn't hurt but it certainly wasn't a Glock that he bought. Glock never has made a .380 that I know of and I've also never heard of one that is full chrome with pearl grips. See if you can find out exactly what it was he had. hangunnr

However, you are right in that neither one of them has a chrome finish or pearl grips. They're both that beautiful shade of Tenifer black. The 25 is on the compact frame like a 19 & 23. The 28 is on the sub-compact frame like the 26 & 27. Neither the 25 nor the 28 is available as a retail item on this side of the pond. VTbowman
Re: Dad had a scare! Yikes. Never good when a shot weapon comes loose and flies apart. I dont care what it is. So glad he was not hurt and the pawn shop did right by him with the full refund IMO.
