WisconsinArcher
I have a friend who is getting some new archery equipment, and he wanted to get a whisker biskit. I have shot shoot through rests, and drop away, and wont get rid of my trophy taker for anything. I hear many people claiming they like their whisker biscuits, but how can they beat a drop-away? Im not bashing the biscuit, but how can always having fletching contact be better than zero fletching contact?
buckee
Re: Whisker Biskit? If you want to think of the vanes going through the biscuit as fletching contact, that is up to you ...LOL. All three fletchings go through at the same time, with very little drag, so it's not the same as one fletching catching the prongs of a rest and throwing your arrow off. I've been shooting mine for 3 years now and won't switch to anything else. I love it. I like simplicity and I've got that in the whisker biscuit. virtually nothing to fail on you when the chips are on the table. There was some issues with the whiskers in extreme cold weather, but the newer biscuit has taken care of that, plus there is a spray you can get for any freeze-up problems you might be afraid of. I've never used the stuff and have never had a freeze-up problem.
jerdanmagic
Re: Whisker Biskit? I love my Biscuit and have had very good results with it. No interference what so ever!
WisconsinArcher
Re: Whisker Biskit? Wow, glad to hear you guys like your rest. I have heard of a few people all being unsatisfied about it. I understand that all the fletching is going through nearly untouched, but its not for my taste. How is long range accuracy? Just curious, I know that being able to not worry about your arrow falling off your rest is a unique feature, which many hunters will gladly take. So maybe the biscuit comes with some gravy? Guest curt
Re: Whisker Biskit? I switched this year and love it for bowhunting. I am now getting one for my other bow. Just to let your friend know Weaknecht Archery is selling them for 39.95. Cheaper than anywhere else you can find.
carbonhunter
Re: Whisker Biskit? I shot a trophyridge drop zone last year, switched to the biscuit this year and love it,wont go back to anything else, I will shoot mine out to forty yards no problem. My bow is used for hunting first and 3-d last, the fact that there are no moving parts is a huge plus for me, the fact that the arrow is always ready is iceing on the cake, if im spot-and-stalking want to be able to hook up the release and draw from any position or angle.
