DU_man_84
just wanting to see if i could get someones opinion if they have this jacket, getting ready to buy my annual waterfowl stuff from cabelas and im getting a new jacket (max4 of course) but in like 7 years ive gotten 2 of the northern flight jackets from cabelas and they have not steered me wrong been happy, its a complete nylon jacket, but this year i noticed the jacket cabelas has that the top half is nylon and the bottom half is fleece, seems like it would be nice for when you tuck your jacket into your waders, the jacket is the dry plus hybrid wading jacket, i was wondering if you have had it, if its warm enough to handle the coldest weather and does the jacket last, any info would be appreciated
njbowhntr
Re: cabelas waterfowl jacket I have this jacket. It is a very warm jacket. I have sat many a cold miserable day in it. The only problem is, if you get caught in a downpour you will get wet. The rain runs down the jacket and into your waders. For days like that I have another Cabela's Dry-Plus Parka (just the shell) that I put on over top of everything.

clayman
Re: cabelas waterfowl jacket I'm in need of some new waterfowl outerwear this year too. The old Browning Hydrotech has served me well, but doesn't shed water very well anymore and I snagged my bibs on a barb wire fence a couple of seasons ago. I really like the Columbia omni-quad gear, but I'll have to see what the budget allows after I decide on a new 12 ga. (gotta have priorities! )

I like the warm of it and that I can wear it on the cool mornings without having to get out the heavier jackets. I have even worn it on real cold deerhunting days as an additional layer.
