Long night

Had to take my boy to the ER after laying over his motorcycle. He was headed to town for a band get together and hit one heckuva rain storm, we hit it, and it went from no rain to HOLY COW the bottom dropped out. Guess he was slowing down due to rain, and pulled off to the shoulder, and went to far and hit the wet grass, laying it over. He is all right, BIG ole road rash on his side, about the size of a baseball, a few scratches on his back and elbows. Bike was barely even touched. An EMT did check him over that was dispatched out, and said he looked okay. He did go on to his band movie, but when we picked him up he was complaining of his back hurting around his kidneys, so we figured better safe than sorry. They checked and made sure no bruised kidney, and sent us on our way. Good thing he went down in the grass, or it probably would have been much worse. And I have NO IDEA why he doesn't have some type of leather jacket to ride with, but you can bet your butt he WILL have one SOON!!!! Other than a broken light, shifter bracket, and a few minor scratches the bike is allright, which leads me to beleive to that he couldn't have been going very fast.

Actually this is my stepson, he is 14. Here in Oklahoma you can get your MC License at 14. Him and his mom went through a MC driving school before he even got his license. That right there is waht really helped him last night
