buckbuster11
The Top 10 look like this.... 1. Ohio State 2. Texas 3. Notre Dame 4. USC 5. Oklahoma 6. Auburn 7. West Virginia 8. Florida 9. LSU 10. Florida State I've got a feeling Ohio State won't be holding that #1 spot for very long.

Umm...is Vince Young still there or something? And isn't Oklahoma forced to start a true freshman? Did they actually look at the rosters or did they just go with the perrenial favorites. I'd have to say 1. Ohio State 2. Norte Dame 3. LSU 4. West Virginia 5. Florida State 6. Auburn 7. USC 8. Texas 9. Penn State 10. Cause this poll is pretty useless.....as with most of them. IMHO. Only time will tell who's the best. And if they had a TRUE playoff method....then we'd REALLY know who's the best. Instead of all those retarded bowl games. Ok, I'll shut up. I'm just a girl. What do I know?

dogdoc
Re: College Football Preseason Coaches Poll yep--with Bomar gone I think they will drop out pretty quick. I guess a lot of it depends though on their early season schedule--heck I could probably play QB with Adrian Peterson in the backfield. Rumor has it that Coach Stoops will bring back Paul Thompson to compete for the starting job. If you remember he was moved to WR after losing the job to Dumbar--I mean Bomar. Sure, Brady Quinn is the most polished, more groomed for the next level type QB, but Smith really came into his own last year. Now he knows when to stay in the pocket, knows when to roll out and knows when to run, and he does that more effectively than any QB I've seen. I'm not saying he's a better scrambler than Vick or Vince Young...but he is more effective.

[/ QUOTE ] Oh yeah, Stanton is a great QB, but I'd have to consider Smith a bigger threat for sure. He could always beat you with his legs, did that against Michigan his sophomore year. That was actually his biggest problem. He'd tuck it and run way to fast. Once he matured and gained some patience and confidence in his arm, he was really a great QB. I think it all finally fell together against ND in the Fiesta Bowl. He's gonna be a stud this year. Count on it. To bad my Buckeye's play in the Big Ten...they'd go undefeated in the Big 12 and the Pac-10 for sure. It's hard when you're playing Michigan, PSU, Iowa, Michigan State and Stanton. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: College Football Preseason Coaches Poll i hate to say it...but the buckeyes are gunna be tough to beat this year...i'm guessing they will be either undefeated or have 1 one loss going into the michigan game....and as for stanton and michigan state...they will do what they always do....start off 5-0 or 4-1 and going into the michigan game everyone is going to be saying how great of a team they are....then they lose to michigan and go down hill from there... Tominator
Re: College Football Preseason Coaches Poll I hate seeing Ohio State there in August. Now if I saw them there in January, then I'd be happy. Any given Saturday when you play in the Big 10, heck, Penn State might even beath them.
