257bob
I am going attempt to purchase something off of ebay. How much time should I let run out before making my final bid? This is my first ebay experience.
Turkeygirl
Re: Quick...I need help. When you only have a few minutes left, make a bid. I've had people outbid with like 1 minute left, and because I have dial-up, by the time I refreshed the page, I lost out. so keep in mind how fast or slow your computer is. I've also made a big several hours in advance and won before, but alot of people tend to bid at the very last minute, so give it like 5-10 minutes left in the auction and bid then keep refreshing the page and watching for anyone to outbid you. Good luck!

wtnhunt
Re: Quick...I need help. On dial up here, so I usually will wait until under a minute and open two windows so I can refresh one and have my bid ready in the other and I usually click my bid when there is less than a minute. heathcoerracin
Re: Quick...I need help. i usually enter my highest bid around $10 more than wat they have with like 2minutes left or sumthing. Itseems to be workknig, i just won a pair of costa del mar's and some game system for my sister.

stevebeilgard
Re: Quick...I need help. there are dozens of folks watching a good deal on whatever. say it a boat. it's worth $2,000., but you only want to spend 1200. simply put your maximum bid at whatever it is, wait until the last minute or 30 seconds, and push the button. you either get it or you don't. if you miss, move on. like any auction, some folks have the "gotta have it" syndrome, and will pay whatever to get it. don't be one of them. remember, you were looking for a boat when you bid on that one. only thing is, it's now a day later and you're still looking for a boat...
