Turkeygirl
I was wondering, is there a way to find out your draw length without having to go to an archery shop or something? I'm starting to research bows now so maybe I can get a newer bow next year. My bow I use right now I believe is at the right draw length, I'm just not sure what it is in inches because the guy at the shop adjusted it or Andy did but never told me. I think my draw weight right now is around 45 or 50 lbs, but the draw length I'm not positive on. I was looking on Ebay and the Hoyt Rintec XL/ Hoyt Sierra Tec looks like it would be in the area I'm looking since I'm a lady and not huge at that, lol. I'm thinking draw weight wise, I'm leaning towards a bow in the 40-50 or 50-60 lb range. Right now I shoot a Hoyt Mystic Rebel which is a youth bow; bought it used. So any suggestions on draw length and bows I should keep an eye out for, please let me know! Thanks!
wtnhunt
Re: Draw length Not too long ago, Gary posted a couple methods in here for getting your draw length. Could look back or could wait a little while, sure he will post them again for you.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Draw length i think one way is to stand like you are going to draw.....make a fist and put it against the wall, (like your bow is drawn) then have someone measure from the wall to the corner of your mouth....this should get you kinda close i think

Turkeygirl
Re: Draw length Thanks guys! I'm around 5' 5" so I'm like off the chart GW's link, lol. I'll try the standing like I'm going to draw method. I'd just like to have a good idea of my draw length and the range I'm in so I know what I'm looking for.
