Scoring Estimates?? *pics*

I know that everyones opinion will vary, but everyone is usually in the +/- 10" range which isn't bad, I guess but everyone seemed to be right on target last year.. Anyway there are a few bucks I would like an estimate for.

The first buck would be No Brows:

I think because he is wide and tall he should go a solid 70" or so if he doesn't lose alot of mass when the velvet sheds.

The next buck would be The Other Guy, a nice 8pt with good mass:

I think The Other Guy will go a hair over 100", but I could be wrong.

Next is Stripe, another nice 8pt that should go around 100" because of his spread:

Then is big ol High Rack. I'm not sure what he will go because his antlers are so wierd. They have good mass in between tines on both sides, but his spread isn't much:

I know these bucks aren't record book bucks, but I am curious to see what they would score.. I will shoot any of the above four bucks, regardless of their score but I really want to know what they could potentially score. I guess the only real way of doing it would be to kill one of them and have it scored.. grin.gif Anyway, whatcha think?

Hard to say Joe, if the no brows deer had brows, he might be up around 115, without gonna have to say close to the mark Chris guessed at 105. The deer you are calling stripe, between 95 and 105. The high racked deer, dont know, maybe in the upper 70's.

I know one thing, if you have the option or opportunity at all of those deer, the one with no browtines needs to go before the others. That is not a quality deer and I'd be trying to remove those genes from the breeding herd ASAP. The rest all look like good deer, just need a little age on 'em.

With absolutely no intention to hijack this thread............. "No Brows" is the caliber of deer that the PA Game Commission is saving to breed another year. He's not legal to shoot where I hunt. The other bucks pictured will be killed. Now, maybe some more folks will understand why some of us PA guys get so P-O'ed.

Is that because they do AR's based on antler points? That method has more than few problems, but it IS slightly better than no restrictions at all if the young bucks are getting hammered in that area.

Ditto on the hijack apology! blush.gif

Ok folks... most of ya were right on for No Brows.

No Brows was shot by a buddy of mine on Oct. 25th, 2006.

He had a 16.5" spread, 18" main beams, both G1's were 8" and both G2's were 6". He also had decent mass. He taped out at 90" P & Y.

He is at the taxidermist right now and my buddy should have him back by February. He's at True Life Taxidermy in Middletown, NY if any of you go there and wanna take a peak at him. wink.gifsmile.gif

Oh and here is a pic of No Brows in hard antler:
