ladydiehard
The blackberries are ripe in Waupaca county and WOW what a bumper crop! Stopped picking at 2 ice cream pails full and STILL there were berries waiting to be had! My arms look like I've been in a cat fight! Went right through the long sleeves! Saw some deer while out picking too...but no bears...thank goodness!
Jeramie
Re: Blackberries galore! I'm pretty sure we wont have many this year. Its so dry the weeds are dieing. I love black berries too. I usually get several cobblers a year....
ladydiehard
Re: Blackberries galore! It had been real dry here too until the last couple of weeks. I saw some berries dried up on the bushes but I guess the rain came in time to save most of them.

Turkeygirl
Re: Blackberries galore! Went out Sunday evening with my mom and we picked almost 2 Bleach jugs full of blackberries and she made a pie yesterday! Seems liek we have the first decen blackberry year in quite a few years. I also saw a couple deer come out for a quick bite in a field below us before going back in the woods.

ruttinbuc
Re: Blackberries galore! A few weeks ago a friend and I picked 8 quarts of wild red rasberries. There were some blackberries, but not enough to get excited about. Nothing like a rasberry and cream soda float!

archerjg
Re: Blackberries galore! We have picked them the past three weeks. Some were as big or bigger than a quarter. We have made three batches of jelly with them and they have been good to eat as well. Archerjg
