As of right now, We will start tearing out the interior and such. We are waiting to here from the place doing our motor. It was in bad shape and we are trying to use it so the numbers match! But we will see. THe tranny has about another week in the shop. Other then that, this is it for now!

Looks good.

I don't know anything about refinishing a car, but I would think you'd strip everything, blast and paint all the frame, and underlings first, then put the new parts on. confused.gif

We have basically done that. As far as the frame being painted there in the picture, he just did hat for the time being. THe frame will be painted. Some things may even get repainted when taking to the paint shop when the project is complete. I dont know alot about cars either, but I dont know my buddy tommy does, and he knows whats going on.

Re: Vette Update #2

Ryan,

Personally if you want to help its resale, do a frame off restoration, its the only way to truly detail a car. Plus if you can get a rotissory (sp?) it makes doing it so much easier.

Think about changing the shocks too, from sitting for so long it may be in your best interest to put new ones on at all 4 corners.

Might want to consider painting the calipers or power coating if possible, a little moisture and they will get rusty real quick!

Love to see guys save old rides and work on them at night and having fun doing so!
